Every 27 September, the World Tourism Day is celebrated. This year’s theme was “Tourism and Water; Protecting our common future”.
Uganda joined the world to celebrate the Tourism Day, which took place in Fort Portal in Western Uganda. A town that is located in the heart of a triangle of national parks including the Rwenzori Mountains, Semliki National Park, Semliki Toro Game Reserve, Kibale Forest National Park and of course Queen Elizabeth National Park.
It has been a tradition in Uganda to celebrate the World Tourism Day in different locations, and showcasing the Pearl of Africa’s tourism attractions to both locals and foreign visitors.
