Not one, not two, but four national parks in Uganda have emerged among the best parks in the world, winning the 2014 TripAdvisor’s Certificate of Excellence. The parks include Lake Mburo National Park, Murchison Falls National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park and Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. The first two protected areas have won the Award for the first time, while Bwindi and Queen Elizabeth National Park have retained their Certificate of Excellence for the second year running.
TripAdvisor awards Certificates of Excellence based on customer feedback. Each time a customer shares their experience in the parks on the TripAdvisor website, it is tallied. Among the issues considered are, customer care, innovations within the parks, facilities, customer satisfaction tour guiding and management systems with the end result of providing the best for the visitors.
The four national parks all excelled in the above areas. Jossy Muhangi, the Public Relations Manager of Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA), says the awards show the great strides the Uganda national parks have made in the last few years and that UWA is working hard to ensure that all the parks offer the best for the customers.
