Endowed with a variety of natural and cultural attractions, Uganda is no doubt one of the best tourism destinations in the world.
In order to rebrand the country, known around the globe as “The Pearl of Africa”, the Uganda Ministry of Tourism and Uganda Tourism Board have launched a campaign in the form of a competiton. The general public, artists and PR experts have been invited to express their creativity and understanding of “The Pearl of Africa” and put forward a winning design for a new logo.
The logo should ideally represent Uganda’s unique combination of natural and human endowments, Uganda’s warmth and hospitality, Uganda’s entrepreneurship and Uganda’s potential. It should capture the variety of activities and attractions including beautiful beaches and landscapes, friendly people, beautiful national parks, diversity of bird life, unique heritage, arts and craft, and delicious local food.
The winning logo of the Pearl of Africa Logo Competition will be awarded with a prize of ten million Uganda Shillings.
