Uganda in “Top Gear”

Despite thousands of years of exploration of the Nile, there still seems to be some debate about the location of the source of the world’s longest river.

UK’s extremely popular show “Top Gear” travelled to Uganda to put their own spin on one of exploration’s greatest prizes, and to share the prize with their cars. During the trip, the Top Gear boys, Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May seemed to be having a blast during their mission, while their cars battled their way through some of Africa’s most spectacular scenery. The search of the Source of the Nile was led by Adrift CEO Cam McLeay, who is one of the leading experts on the navigation of the river.

BBC 2 has recently featured the first of a two-part special in the UK. In case you missed it there will be a repeat on Saturday 9th March 2013 at 19.30 GMT. And make sure to watch part 2 on Sunday 10th March at 20.00 GMT!
